Frequently Asked Questions

(1) How does communicating with an expert work?
Once you sign up for a time slot with your chosen expert, you will receive a link via email to a Zoom meeting. Just click on the link to join the session at your chosen time slot.

(2) Do I need a Zoom account?
No, you don't need a zoom account. However if you already have one, you can login to use that account.

(3) Can I use Facetime or just my phone for a video call?
No, only online meeting platforms are allowed for two-way communications - video or audio. This helps protect the privacy of both our customers and our experts.

(4) Can I use a platform other than Zoom?
We are constantly evaluating other platforms and will update the options as and when they are available. Please let us know via the 'Contact' page if you have a strong preference.

(5) How much do experts get paid for consulting with ShowMeQuickly?
Consultants will get paid 83.5% of customer-paid price per individually bought session. For multi-pack purchases (~5% customer discount), the consultant's pay will be 79.32% per individual session.
In case you are wondering, the fees retained by ShowMeQuickly are for supporting ongoing operations (website fees, business licensing, taxes, third party fees, etc.).

(6) How can I optimize my time with an expert?

(i) Ensure you are accurate with your question when booking your time, (ii) Prior to the call, test your device, the meeting link and your connectivity, (iii) Be close to your project before starting your session, (iv) Think though and write down your questions before the call, and (v) Ask targeted questions to your expert. Open-ended questions are fine too, but the answers to such questions may or may not what you want.

(7) How are the sessions priced?

Pricing is straightforward - you pay per session or purchase a multi-pack (3 or 5 sessions). That's it. No monthly fees or plans, no games played here.
